Going on vacation is always fun, but going on a trip all around Europe very fast becomes stressful, if you are not prepared. My trip to Europe was my homecoming after living in New York for 2.5 years. I only left NYC three times for couple days on business trips and was only able to wear black business clothes required for the events I worked. When it came time to pack for Europe I literally did not know where to start. I had a 12-hour flight in front of me with a 7-hour lay over in London. One thing was clear I needed to dress comfortable. On the other side my family would see me for the first time in 2.5 years so I needed to look good.

For such a long flight the best thing to wear are leggings. They are comfy and tight and help prevent your legs from swelling, reducing the risk of thrombosis. Combined with a long, warm sweater, scarf and big eyeglasses to hide tired eyes, you have a wonderful outfit; which looks stylish but is extremely comfortable and easy to maintain through the half day of traveling. To finish it up I put on my favorite high heeled boots but also grabbed a pair of Lucky Brand house shoes my aunt gave me for Christmas. They are warm, soft and very comfy and fit in my bag perfectly. So once I got on the plane I switched into them, replaced my contacts with my glasses and relaxed with a good book.

After arriving in London at 5am, I just needed an energy and beauty boost. For long distance traveling, try Nutri-Pure “Detoxifying Wet Cleansing Towelettes”by Garnier and pack dry fruit. Since almost no liquid is allowed on planes the towelettes are a great solution and come in handy after a not-so rejuvenating nap on the plane. The dried fruits (I love cranberries and apples) deliver vitamins, fiber and natural sugar for energy without having to carry tons of food in your purse. Do not forget about your lips, the cold air conditioning from the plane leaves them dry, so you need a moisturizing lip balm. Try Nivea's “SOS Repair Balm,”it makes the lips soft in seconds.

I know long distance travel can strain the body and mind but with the right preparation it can still be fashion fun! When I finally arrived my parents walked passed me and didn't recognize me at all. They certainly didn't expect me to look this great.
