Now that the holidays are over, how are you going to spend all your accrued holiday gift cards and cash while still being thrifty? I have come up with the top ten ideas for around $50 or under to get you feeling updated for January. Below are some items I have incorporated into my life to freshen up my wardrobe, mind, and home for 2010, so hopefully they will inspire you as well.

Top 10 Fashion Finds to start ‘2010’

1. Stemless wine glasses: The new trend in drinking wine, these are posh, affordable, and the wine tastes just as good in it without the stem!

Riedel Vivant Pinot Noir Tumblers at Target. ($15 for two)

2. Leggings with stirrups: These are smoking hot, will keep your legs warm, and looking great when exposed with hot heels or under boots as thick tights.

RSAST Shiny Stirrup Tight at American Apparel. ($14)

3. Learn a new language: Introduce a new culture into your 2010. Download language tapes to your ipod, improve your mind and inspire conversation with a new friend. It is a great conversation topic, and could inspire some travel in your future.

Berlitz Speaking Your Language. ($34.95)

4. Infinity Scarves: I love the fact that these scarves look perfectly placed and stay wrapped while keeping you warm and looking polished. This fad will not be going away anytime soon.

Shaker Infinity Scarf at The Limited. ($39.50)

5. Fingerless Gloves: Perfect for keeping your hands warm while maintaining functionality of your fingers!

Juicy Couture Button Detail Long Pop Top Gloves at Nordstrom. ($65)

6. Nice Underwear: Nothing against Victoria Secrets, but it is nice to upgrade your bum with beautifully constructed undergarments that make you feel sexy and put together, even if you are the only one that sees them.

Cosabella “Malia” Thong at Bluefly. ($26 for two)

7. Fedora: This hat is so well priced, and looks classy and sassy. I have been wearing mine everywhere, with lots of compliments!

Grace Hats “Hugo” Fedora at Bluefly. ($33)

8. Faux Fur Vest:Cozy, cute and functional for weekend wear or under your winter coat, all while being PETA friendly.

Forever Orchid 7-16 Faux-Fur Vest at Dillard’s. ($29.99)

9. Thigh High Socks: These can be worn over tights, or nylons (they stay up better if layered). They can be as subtle or loud as you want. I wear mine over black tights with a mini skirt and boots.

RSASKTH Stripe Thigh-High Sock at American Apparel. ($15)

10. Everyday Dress: Every girl loves a great cheap dress that is wearable for work or weekend. This is one of my favorite online stores for clothes at ridiculous prices. Every dress I have ever bought here has been one of my favorites…for $50 or less!
